Cortland L. Golightly

Cortland L. Golightly is a fiduciary and comprehensive financial consultant. His career in financial services started over 15 years ago as a Divisional Manager for The Hartford. In this role, he covered over 2,200 advisors in Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada for complex retirement income planning and asset management strategies.

Cortland further committed himself to helping people by starting his own advisory practice at Morgan Stanley in Walnut Creek. He worked with a team with over 30 years experience working with Chevron Executives. This is also where he and Chris Held crossed paths and worked together for several years and the idea of a future partnership that would be Element Wealth Management was born.

Cortland joined Element Wealth Management as a Managing Partner and Private Wealth Advisor where his goal is to help Chris build something beautiful that they, their employees and clients alike can be proud to call home. Cortland is a faith-based individual who believes on always doing the right thing, especially when no one is looking. He wants to be the person his clients count on to manage their financial affairs so they can spend their valuable time focusing on the things they enjoy in life.

In his free time, Cortland enjoys spending time with family, friends and loved ones. Some of his favorite pastimes are snowboarding in Tahoe, Wakeboarding on Lake Don Pedro, spending time on the 40-acre family ranch and cooking for his wife Carla and their son Cole.
